How to get to Brighton

Arriving by air
All the major London airports are within easy reach of Brighton. London Gatwick is the closest and is only a 30-minute journey by direct train. Heathrow Airport is around a 90-minute journey from Brighton by bus or train and Stansted and Luton Airports are around 2 to 2 and a half hours from Brighton by public transport.

Arriving by train 
If you are travelling from Europe, the Eurostar train arrives from Europe at St Pancras, London, where there are direct trains to Brighton. Trains to Brighton arrive at the mainline station on Queens Road. The Hilton Metropole is easily walkable (about 15 minutes) from Brighton station, but if you require a bus or taxi – these are both available at the front of the station. Direct trains to Brighton run from London Victoria (52 minutes), London Bridge (58 minutes) or London St Pancras (1 hour 16 minutes). If travelling by train from other cities in the UK, you will have to travel to London and then connect to Brighton.

By Road
From London, Brighton is approximately 50 miles via the A23/M23 south. If you’re travelling to Brighton from the South East or West, use the A27.
