Funded places for successful abstracts to the International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference (ICTMC 2024) for LMIC researchers
The Global Health Working Group of the Trials Methodology Research Partnership (TMRP) has funding to help enable researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to attend the 7th International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference (ICTMC), being held from 30th September – 3rd October 2024 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
ICTMC, which is presented by the MRC-NIHR Trials Methodology Research Partnership, is the leading international platform for researchers and practitioners to present the very latest in trials methodology research. The meeting also offers valuable networking and training opportunities, with over 900 delegates from 17 countries attending in 2022.
Prospective authors for both papers and posters are invited to submit a title and maximum 400 word abstract. You need to provide a theme for each abstract and submit your paper by Tuesday 30th April 2024 (23:59 BST), using the conference Online Abstract Submission Site. Ten free registration places are available. In addition, there is some funding that can be allocated towards travel and accommodation. Where offered, flights and accommodation will be booked and paid for direct by the Trials Methodology Research Partnership. Please note that per-diem rates will not be paid.
To be eligible for consideration, you must:
• Currently be living and working in a low or low-middle income country as defined by the World Bank.
• Be a member of the Global Health Working Group of the TMRP (if not already, sign up now – it’s free.
• Be eligible for a UK visa.
• Have submitted an abstract for the conference by the deadline of 30th April 2024.
Once the abstract deadline has closed, all selected abstracts from eligible entrants will be reviewed by a panel of senior researchers and the award will be announced in mid/end July 2024.
Terms and Conditions
• Material submitted to or presented at ICTMC may be shared on the TMRP and/or The Global Health Network websites (including photo of awardees).
• The awardee will be responsible for obtaining a business visa for travel to the UK. The TMRP can sent a letter of invitation but will take no further part in obtaining the visa. If the winner is refused a visa, the award will be forfeited.
• No cash alternative is available for competition winners.
• The judging panel’s decision is final.
